Bananas and chocolate go together like 100% Raw & Organic Coconut Water and ground cacao. Which is to say, deliciously. This drink is chock-full of potassium, thanks to the one-two punch of coconut water and banana. Learn more about how cacao is grown and harvested here

The banana plant is a large herbaceous flowering plant, often mistaken for a tree due to their height of 15-30 feet. Botanically, the banana is classified as a berry, a fleshy fruit produced from a single flower containing one ovary. The Cavendish banana (Musa acuminate) only entered commercial production in the early 20th century, and is now the most common banana cultivar worldwide. Originally, wild bananas’ seeds were quite large, although most cultivars today contain very small seeds. Enjoy this smoothie with whichever type of banana you prefer!

Frozen bananas give a smooth, creamy texture to any smoothie. Just peel ripe bananas, wrap, and freeze until needed. Use any milk or milk alternative in place of the almond milk, or skip it altogether (and use a food processor instead of a blender) to turn this smoothie into a dairy-free ice cream!
