2016’s Fair for Life Impact
Posted: January 19, 2017
Through our Fair for Life commitment, we not only provide fair wages and assured well-being for everyone involved in our "chain of custody," but we also invest back into the communities that help us build our business. 2016 was another successful year for our Fair for Life pledge! This past year, Harmless Harvest executed 13 mobile health check-up clinics and one Health Station conducted in rural Thai communities. 1986 farmers and their families were provided with a full medical, dental and vision checkup and 135 Thai locals were treated by Harmless Harvest's mobile health station doctors.
… and that’s not all! More than 600 farmers and factory workers are sustainably working with Harmless Harvest in Thailand and this number keeps growing. Harmless Harvest also donated 386 school uniforms to 193 local Thai schoolchildren. These uniforms are required for students to attend classes in Thailand.
As an organization, we are proud to share that to date, 2,314 persons directly benefited from one of Harmless Harvest’s social projects.
In 2017, we look forward to continuing to expand on these health and educational projects and working with our farming cooperatives that share our commitment to protecting workers, their communities, and the environment.
